Phoenix police are investigating after a body was discovered in a west Phoenix neighborhood early on June 5.
Around 6 a.m., officers responded to a report of unknown trouble near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road, according to Phoenix Police Department spokesperson Lorraine Fernandez.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive female victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Phoenix Fire Department, according to Fernandez.
Detectives are still working to confirm her identity.
“This is extremely early in the investigation,” Fernandez said, and declined to share further details.
