Carriage Driving Days returns to Wade House in Greenbush July 11-13. Here’s what’s planned.

GREENBUSH – Carriage Driving Days is almost here.

The annual event at Wade House Stagecoach Inn, W7965 State 23, Greenbush, will be July 11-13.

Three days of entertainment includes watching elegantly attired drivers in hats and gloves skillfully maneuvering horse-drawn carriages through a series of competitions.

Certified judges from the American Driving Society will award blue ribbons to carriage teams that excel in each competition.

A horse-drawn wagon will transport guests from the Wade House Visitor Center to the new horse arena to watch the carriage action.

Guests can also visit the Wade House Stagecoach Inn, blacksmith shop, sawmill and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, which houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons.

Carriage Driving Days is held rain or shine and runs noon to 4 p.m. July 11, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 12 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 13.

Two venues will serve food at Carriage Driving Days: Harvest Street, a mobile food trailer and caterer specializing in New American cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal, local ingredients; and the American Legion, which will serve brats and hamburgers.

Single-day tickets for Carriage Driving Days are $17 for adults and teens, $15 for senior citizens, $8.50 for ages 5-12 and free for children younger than 5. Weekend passes are $27 for adults and teens, $25 for senior citizens, $12.50 for ages 5-12 and free for children younger than 5.
