New Jersey is under a severe thunderstorm watch during the evening commute hours on July 8.
National Weather Service declared a severe thunderstorm watch for all 21 counties in New Jersey. The watch is in effect until 9 p.m. on July 8.
Governor Phil Murphy tweeted about the severe thunderstorms, warning the state about potential flash floods as well.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the entire state of New Jersey and the surrounding region until 9 p.m. on July 8, 2025.
“Please plan ahead and drive with caution,” said Murphy.
In Bergen County, the storm is expected to start at 6:30 p.m. on July 8, according to The Weather Channel’s hourly forecast.
