Jul. 17—WILKES-BARRE — A Hanover Township man will spend the next two weeks inside the Luzerne County Correctional Facility while his two addresses are verified.

Robert Kowaleski, 39, was sentenced by Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough to six-to-23 months at the county correctional facility on charges of defiant trespass and criminal attempt to commit indecent assault. Kowaleski pled guilty to the charges April 7.

Vough granted Kowaleski 201 days of pre-sentencing credit for time served, which makes him eligible for immediate parole. However, Vough wants Kowaleski jailed for two weeks until two addresses Kowaleski provided are verified by the county’s Adult Probation Department.

Nanticoke police charged Kowaleski with following two women into a restroom inside Weis Market at Weis Plaza on Dec. 29, 2024, according to court records.

Kowaleski was also charged the same day after he propositioned a female employee at Rite Aid pharmacy, East Main Street, to join him in a restroom for sexual relations, court records say.

Court records say Kowaleski fled the pharmacy and was arrested in the parking lot of Weis.

Kowaleski is subject to 15 years registration of his address under the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act.
