Jul. 17—WILKES-BARRE — A Kingston man convicted by a Luzerne County jury on multiple charges related to soliciting a teenage boy for sex was sentenced Thursday to state prison.

Judge Michael T. Vough sentenced Dusty Erron Fulkersin, 32, to 11 years, four months to 22 years, eight months on charges of criminal solicitation to commit statutory sexual assault, criminal solicitation to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, criminal use of communication facility and two counts of criminal attempt to commit unlawful contact with a minor.

A jury convicted Fulkersin on the charges after deliberating for 90 minutes following a one day trial in March.

Kingston police charged Fulkersin based on information supplied by a “cooperating witness” who is not identified in court records.

Court records say the cooperating witness was on a social media app portraying himself as a 15-year-old boy. The cooperating witness accepted an invitation from Fulkersin who requested to meet to perform a lewd sex act, court records say.

Fulkersin also sent nude pictures of himself and instructed the cooperating witness to meet him at a Zerby Avenue, Kingston, residence where he was confronted on the front porch on May 19, 2024, according to court records.

Court records say online conversations from Fulkersin involved sexual acts he wanted to perform and receive.

Fulkersin is subject to lifetime registration of his address under the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act.
