A 31-year-old Elk Creek resident is behind bars on more than $2 million bail after being arrested on suspicion of child sex abuse.
Following an investigation involving three separate alleged child sex abuse victims, agents from the Glenn Investigations and Narcotics Task Force (GLINTF), with assistance from the Glenn County District Attorney’s Office, served an arrest warrant on July 7 for Andrew Jacob Burrows at his residence at the Grindstone Rancheria in Elk Creek, reported GLINTF.
Agents said Burrows was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Glenn County Jail on $2,050,000 bail and suspicion of sodomy/victim under 10 years, oral copulation/victim under 10 years and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years.
GLINTF said “due to the nature of the investigation, the agency believes there may be additional victims of Burrows who have not reported the abuse.”
The task force is asking anyone who has been an alleged victim, or knows of anyone who has been an alleged victim, to contact Sergeant Draper at the Glenn Investigations and Narcotics Task Force at 530-934-6438.
