ELKHART — Officers found a body in the St. Joseph River off the 300 block of East Beardsley Avenue on Thursday, the Elkhart Police Department said.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was investigating. The man’s name was being withheld pending family notification.
Officers located the man at about 1:10 p.m., the report said. The Elkhart Fire Department assisted in removing the body from the river.
