Arrests made after multi-agency sting

Must read

Two Cooke County men were arrested last week after a multi-agency operation involving online solicitation of minors.

The Cooke County Sheriff’s Office hosted and coordinated a joint sting Monday and Tuesday with Texas Department of Public Safety, the Collin County Sheriff’s Department and The Colony police, where law enforcement appeared online as under-age minors communicating with the suspects. The suspects were then directed to a pre-determined location in Gainesville, where they were arrested.

Edmond Blake Judkins, 57, and Hunter Clayton Jordan, 26, were each charged with online solicitation of a minor, a second degree felony, and booked on a $150,000 bond.

Jordan was determined to be an employee of Gainesville ISD and was driving a district vehicle.

“The safety and security of our children will always be a top priority and mission of this department,” Cooke County Sheriff Ray Sappington said. “Operations such as this one are just one tool that we utilize in carrying out our mission.”
