Must read

At least one structure was destroyed, and another was on fire on Saturday, July 19, at Ramon Mobile Home Park in Palm Springs.

A bystander on the scene told a Desert Sun reporter everyone made it out of the burning structures. At least three units were involved in the blaze. It is unclear if any mobile home residents were injured or sent to the hospital.

At least five engines are at the scene fighting the fire, which started shortly after 3 p.m. Smoke from the fire could be seen from miles around.

Palm Springs Police sent a notification to residents at 3:18 p.m. telling them to avoid the area of Ramon and Sunrise Way due to the fire. The mobile home park is on the southwest side of that intersection.
