Metro Nashville Police Department homicide detectives are investigating after a woman’s body, covered by a garbage bag, was discovered off the side of the road in South Nashville on July 19.
A news release from MNPD says the incident classifies as a “suspicious death.” A man who was walking his dog during the early morning of July 19 on Knight Valley Drive near Harding Place, located about a half-mile away from Antioch Pike, discovered the body.
According to the release, MNPD officers arrived just after 7 a.m. and found the unidentified woman’s body covered by a garbage bag off the side of the road. A medical examiner is working to identify the woman and determine the cause of her death.
MNPD is asking anyone with information about the case to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
