The body was first reported to 911 by a fisherman, who found it along of the banks of the creek between the two Northern Kentucky cities on July 18. Ludlow police responded to the scene, as well as the Kenton County coroner and the Ludlow and Covington fire departments.
On July 20, officials identified the body as 31-year-old Anthony Warren, whose family reported him missing on July 1 and 2.
“Our deepest condolences go out to Mr. Warren’s entire family in their time of grief,” police said in the release.
Police added that there is no further danger to the community.
