Putnam Valley is a historic town in western Putnam County, bordering Philipstown and Carmel, with about 11,000 residents.
Nested in the Hudson Highlands, the community is about an hour north of New York City, but centuries away from the city’s hectic lifestyle. It features several lakeside communities and attractions including the Town Park, a family favorite with everything from pickleball courts to a dog park.
Traveling the back roads of Putnam Valley, you’re sure to find some interesting sights, such as Finger Farm on Canopus Hollow Road with its extensive collection of old signs.
