With an abundance of new soft drink flavors on the market, the Coca-Cola Company is about to bring back an old favorite.
“Diet Coke has traditionally been sold in a variety of flavors,” according to the website, The Street. “In many ways, it’s like a classic soda fountain beverage where you can choose from any flavor on offer.”
But there’s one flavor that has always been in demand, however, it has disappeared from shelves in recent years.
There’s good news. It’s making a comeback.

What flavor of Diet Coke is returning to shelves?
The Street stated on its website that Diet Cherry Coke is returning for a limited time, complete with retro packaging from 1986, when Diet Cherry Coke first appeared in stores.
When will it be in stores?
According to The Street, it is expected back in grocery stores in the U.S. between now and July.
When did the original Diet Coke arrive in stores?
The original was first introduced in 1982, while the first Coca Cola’s hit the shelves in 1886.
The Coca-Cola Company will be bringing back a vintage flavor of Diet Coke this summer.
Has regular Coke been released in other flavors lately?
Yes, in February the company introduced Coca-Cola Orange Cream in February 2025.
