An Adams County woman is facing attempted homicide charges for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, according to police.
Christina Morris, 39, of Cumberland Township, has been charged with two counts of first-degree felony attempted homicide, one count of first-degree aggravated assault, second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor possession of an instrument of a crime, and misdemeanor simple assault, according to charges filed by Cumberland Township Police on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025.
Morris was denied bail during a Tuesday morning arraignment for being a “danger to society,” court records show, and was confined in Adams County Prison.
An attorney was not yet listed for Morris in the case.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed against Morris, police were called to the scene of a reported stabbing in the first block of Walker Avenue at the Lincoln Estates Mobile Home Park in Cumberland Township around 9:49 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025.
Police wrote that, upon their arrival, they witnessed an “ongoing physical confrontation” inside the home through a window, and made contact with Morris and an adult male victim.
As the victim exited the home, police wrote in the documents that he was observed “covered in blood.”
While police made contact with the victim, Morris then allegedly fled to the back of the home and was found hiding under blankets in a bedroom, police said. She was then taken into custody, according to police.
The male victim, who police identified as Morris’ boyfriend, allegedly told officers at the scene that the couple had been watching television when, “out of nowhere,” Morris allegedly “did state that she was going to kill him and his family,” the affidavit alleges.
Morris then allegedly retrieved a knife from the kitchen, and “a physical altercation ensued,” police wrote.
During this altercation, Morris allegedly struck the victim repeatedly in the face, then attempted to stab the victim in the neck, the documents allege.
In attempting to avoid being stabbed in the neck, police wrote, the victim raised his left arm, resulting in two stab wounds to his upper left shoulder, according to the affidavit.
The victim was then transported to Gettysburg Hospital by EMS crews, according to police.
After taking Morris into custody, police wrote in the documents that they noted a “massive amount of blood in the kitchen” and then located the knife suspected to be used in the assault within a silverware drawer of the kitchen.
Police spoke with Morris at Adams County Prison after taking her into custody, where Morris allegedly admitted to officers that she had obtained “a knife from the silverware drawer” and “put the knife up to the victim” before placing the knife back into the drawer, police allege in the charging documents.
A preliminary hearing for Morris is scheduled for Sept. 10, 2025, according to records.
