BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Alert and Ozone Action Day for the Baton Rouge metro.
Air Quality Alert issued for Friday for the Baton Rouge and New Orleans metro areas
Increasing levels of ozone will create poor air quality, particularly in the afternoon hours on Friday. Those with respiratory issues, like asthma, are encouraged to limit time outdoors.
We can all help improve air quality:
– Drive less, carpool
– Use a bike or walk
– Gas up your vehicle late in the evening
– Mow the lawn late in the evening
