SALEM SCHOOLS – Salem City Schools Board of Education plans a special board meeting at 6:15 p.m. July 28 at Salem High School to review board goals and review the regular meeting agenda. The board then plans a regular meeting at 7 p.m. July 28 in the Salem High School Library, 1226 E. State St. in Salem.
BELOIT SAFETY – Beloit Village Safety Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 28 at Village Hall to discuss officers and needs of the Fire and EMS departments.
SEBRING GARAGE SALES – Sebring Village’s 24th annual communitywide garage sales will run Aug. 7-9 at homes throughout the village. Friends of Sebring Parks has donated toward advertising, and Sebring Public Library will print the list of sales and have them available to prospective shoppers. “This is an annual tradition here in our community,” said coordinator Susan Sanor. “We see many people from surrounding areas coming into our village as they search for treasures and bargains. Many shoppers are very familiar with this annual event and they plan weeks in advance to attend.” Any Sebring or Beloit resident may register their sale and be included on the list by texting 330-259-5946. Registration is open through 5 p.m. July 30. A printed list of sales will be available beginning Aug. 4 at Sebring Public Library, 196 W. Ohio Ave.
SEBRING COUNCIL − Sebring Village Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 28 in Council Chambers. Among items on the agenda are renewals of tax levies for Sebring Fire Department’s equipment, maintenance and buildings; and the village’s Parks and Recreation Department. The board members also will recess into executive session for the purpose of considering the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official.
