However, according to a recent report from Coffeeness, a review website for coffee products, the most popular beer brand in California is more commercial.

Coors is the most popular beer brand in California, according to the Coffeeness report, which Visual Capitalist shared.
Coffeeness used Google Trends data to measure search interest across a selection of well-known beer brands in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The report used YouGov Ratings data to compile a list of mainstream beer brands for the search analysis.
“This approach allowed us to include beers with significant market presence and consumer recognition, ensuring the data reflected genuine consumer interest rather than niche or local brands with limited availability,” the report said.
The report makes it clear that its beer rankings are not based on sales or consumption figures.
Online search interest, the report said, “serves as an indicator of consumer curiosity, information-seeking behavior, and overall brand engagement.”
What are the most popular beer brands in the US?
Miller was the most searched beer brand in 29 states and the District of Columbia, according to the report.
Coors was the most searched beer brand in eight states, mainly in the South and Southwest.
Guinness was the most popular brand in three states: Georgia, New Jersey and South Carolina.
Heineken, Busch, Budweiser, and Bud Light were the most popular beer brands in two states each.
Blue Moon was the most popular brand in Colorado. Corona was the most popular brand in Connecticut.
