The mountains outside the city limits of Rocky Top in Anderson County are the site of another wildfire.
People began reporting the wildfire on posts to social media Wednesday afternoon and the odor of smoke was present in the area throughout the night.
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Division of Wildfire reported at 1:33 a.m. Thursday that a 67-acre fire on Vowell Mountain Lane is 95% contained.
A wildfire that grew over several days to 300-plus acres in the area was contained on March 29.
