Jun. 13—BEMIDJI — Apple Blossom Village will host a Midsummer Fest family event and fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 20, at Rail River Folk School’s outdoor space, 303 Railroad St. SW.
The festival is open to the community and will have something for everyone, a release said.
Free family activities will include face painting, henna, wand, fairy garden, and flower crown making, live music, yard games, dragon racing, Maypole dance, archery and drums, the release said.
Puppetry camp kids will perform a puppet show at 4:30 p.m.
Attendees can also purchase food, including brats, shaved ice with natural syrups and strawberry shortcakes in compostable containers. At this litter-free event, participants should bring their own water bottle and Apple Blossom will provide water refill stations.
This is a Welcoming Communities Event in collaboration with Peacemaker Resources with funding support from the Northwest Minnesota Foundation.
The event will help raise funds for Apple Blossom’s Nature School Scholarship Fund.
