Aiken County authorities have arrested a suspect for the June shooting death of Tranard E. Shepperd, 18, in Warrenville.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office charged Marquis Edric Robinson, 17, of North Augusta for the fatal shooting on June 22 on Sarah Street, where Sheppard was found on the side of the road. He had suffered multiple gunshots to the body, authorities previously noted. Charges include murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, noted the sheriff’s office in an email.
The Cayce Department of Public Safety made the initial arrest of Robinson on Wednesday. The sheriff’s office said SLED, ATF and U.S. Marshals also assisted in the case.
Robinson was incarcerated at the Aiken County Detention Center on Thursday.
