Sep. 26—- The man who died in a crash Thursday morning in Sauk Centre has been officially identified.
Todd Curtis Thorstad, 63, of Glenwood, is the motorcyclist who was fatally injured in the three-vehicle crash also involving a straight truck and a pickup, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Thorstad was driving a Harley-Davidson Cruiser when a Freightliner straight truck — driven by 32-year-old Ramon Jesus Garcia Rangel, of St. Paul — collided with the motorcycle and then collided with a pickup truck.
According to the
Thorstad was stopped at a stop sign on Minnesota Highway 28, behind a Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was turning northbound onto U.S. Highway 71. The eastbound Freightliner struck the motorcycle and then collided with the Chevrolet in the intersection.

was not injured, according to the
Rangel was also uninjured in the collision.
Neither of the airbags in the two trucks deployed, but both men were wearing seat belts, according to the report. Thorstad was not wearing a helmet. According to the report, alcohol was not involved.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash first reported around 8:51 a.m. Thursday, according to the State Patrol.
Sauk Centre Police, Fire and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
