Bees stung three people who were part of a crew working on the roof of an independent living facility, and they were rushed to a hospital on the morning of July 7, where one died, according to Scottsdale police.
Aaron Bolin, a Police Department spokesperson, said the three were stung at around 9:30 a.m. while working on the roof of Silverstone Independent Living, in the area of Scottsdale and Pinnacle Peak roads. One person died while the other two were in stable condition, Bolin said.
Scottsdale police and the Maricopa County medical examiner will investigate the death.
Additional information, such as the identity of the deceased and the number of times the workers were stung, was not immediately available.
