When someone mentions the Jersey Shore, it’s easy to think of the many beaches spanning the southern end of the state.
And it looks like voters for USA TODAY’s 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards are in agreeance — South Jersey’s beaches swept the top spots for New Jersey’s best beaches.
Here’s how the list shakes out.

Best beaches in New Jersey
Known for its long trek to the surf and even longer boardwalk, The Wildwoods topped the state ranking for New Jersey’s beaches, followed by Ocean City and Atlantic City.

South Jersey was well-represented, commanding the top five spots on the readers’ choice leaderboard.
