Those who miss shopping at Big Lots might be in luck, depending on where you live.
Big Lots is reopening of a total of 132 stores in May, under its new leadership. Gordon Brothers Retail Partners announced its purchase of the company in January, with Variety Wholesalers acquiring at least 200 stores as part of the sale.
Some Big Lots locations already opened their once-shuttered doors in April, but more reopenings are to come and will be done in two phases, May 1 and May 15.
“The Big Lots! stores opening in May show our continued commitment to providing the best value to our customers with apparel for the family, everyday needs for the home, kitchen, and pantry plus a huge selection of famous brands,” president and CEO of Variety Wholesalers Lisa Seigies said in a press release. “I couldn’t be prouder of the dedicated team who made it possible for us to serve these communities again!”
Grand opening celebrations are also planned for Big Lots stores in the fall.
