A 12-year-old boy was killed in south-western Germany after an 18-year-old chased him by car and struck him following a quarrel in a parking lot, police said on Friday.
The suspect was taken into custody after the incident in the town of Niedernhall, north of Stuttgart, on Thursday evening.
Police said the 18-year-old, accompanied by a 16-year-old friend, had argued with the boy and his 13-year-old companion.

When the two younger boys tried to leave on a bicycle and a scooter, the older youths allegedly got into a car and drove after them.
The 12-year-old was hit while riding his bicycle and died at the scene, police said. His friend was unharmed.
Prosecutors charged the teen driver with manslaughter.
Authorities have not yet provided details on the cause of the fight or whether the youths had previously known each other.
