A Town of Union bridge will be renovated in 2026, and the Broome County Department of Public Works is looking for resident feedback regarding a proposed rehabilitation project.

Will the bridge on Nanticoke Drive be closed?

Due to construction work primarily focusing on the underside of the bridge, the project will not require work zone traffic control, meaning the bridge will not be closed during construction, though lanes and shoulders may be closed.

The project will include making concrete repairs under the bridge, adding rebar and installing waterproofing.
