Jul. 16—Dispatchers called back a phone number associated with a 911 hangup, and a little girl answered, saying she was OK, but was upset about YouTube not working. She also told the dispatcher she didn’t want them to send a firetruck because her mom and dad were sleeping.
A shirtless man reportedly stood outside another man’s truck, kicking it and yelling while the driver sat inside. The driver said the man had been drinking and was acting out because he thought the driver was hitting on his girlfriend.
Officers received a later call from a woman whose intoxicated boyfriend allegedly took her gun and “verbally threatened her” with it. She was able to secure the gun in a bedroom and said the incident began at the bar over a dispute with another patron. Officers placed the firearm in safekeeping for a couple of days.
The yelling and screaming occupants of a brown Chevy truck with a loud exhaust system were upsetting customers on Main Street when they sped up and down the street, revving the engine, and making a loop to do it all over again.
Someone was concerned a young child who looked terrified, standing next to a vehicle containing a copious amount of candy, had been kidnapped. They said the child appeared to have been crying and had “pleading eyes.” A man told the child, “Get over here,” and the pair walked into a store.
Tires were reportedly slashed on a couple of vehicles, and someone rummaged through a vehicle with an already broken window.
A patient reportedly got physical with staff and residents, threatening them and destroying property.
Neighbors thought a house for sale next door had been broken into after sitting empty for three weeks. Two vehicles and six to eight people the neighbors described as “kids” had shown up and appeared to throw a party inside the home. The woman and her husband yelled they were calling the police, and the revelers said they owned the place. Officers made contact with the homeowner, advising them about the noise ordinance.
Someone’s mother had been drinking and allegedly fell out of a truck and was breathing, but didn’t wake up. She eventually awakened and responded to other people.
Someone claiming to have a permit to close the park for a triathlon wanted officers to sweep the area, making sure no one was in the park before the event.
