Investigators are reaching out to the public for clues in a series of burglaries and vandalisms reported in Hesperia’s now year-old Silverwood community over the past two weeks.
The crimes took place between April 19 and April 27 in the community at the south end of the city, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“Multiple subjects broke into several residences located in the Silverwood Project in Hesperia,” sheriff’s officials said in a written statement. “The subjects caused over $150,000 in damage. Investigators with the Hesperia Police Department are looking for anyone with information related to the vandalism and burglaries occurring in the area.”
Snowcapped mountains were the backdrop as dignitaries and community leaders toured model homes at the Silverwood master-planned community ribbon-cutting event on Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Hesperia’s Summit Valley.
No suspect descriptions were available.
Investigators are looking for anyone with information regarding the vandalism and burglaries in the area. Authorities did not disclose the specific number of crimes in the series.
