Authorities are searching for a man they believe is connected to a shooting death of a Naples teenager that placed an elementary school on alert.
Michelle Batten, spokesperson for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed the victim, Aaliyah Gonzalez, 18, died from her injuries, and added that authorities are searching for Antonio Licout, 19, in connection with the probe.
The April 10 shooting in the area of Airport-Pulling Road and Golden Gate Parkway put staff, students and parents on alert while sheriff’s deputies investigated.
The sheriff’s office said there was no threat to the school. The shooting happened overnight, just before 2:30 a.m., in the area of Airport-Pulling Road North and Ponce De Leon Drive.

According to the report, Naples Police were the first to respond and directed the sheriff’s office to the scene.
The report indicates Gonzalez suffered serious injuries and later died at a hospital.
