JEFFERSON — The Ashtabula County Board of Commissioners approved a variety of contracts at a Tuesday meeting.
The commissioners approved a three-year deal with technology company to provide services for a whole body scanner at a rate not to exceed $30,000 for a three year term.
The commissioners approved a contract between the Ashtabula County Law Library and Vector Security, with the cost not to exceed $5,308.63.
They approved adding $10,838.77 to a service contract for the economic mobility responsible parenting program, retroactive to July 31.
A revised prevention, retention and contingency program was approved and scheduled to go into affect Oct. 1.
The law firm Thrasher, Dinsmore and Dolan was approved for legal services not to exceed $50,000 for 2025.
Ann Simeone was appointed to the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund Great Lakes Ohio Regional Prevention Council.
A memorandum of understanding between the state of Ohio, the Department of Youth Services for the Behavioral Health and Justice Initiative and Ashtabula County was approved to provide multi-systemic therapy for juvenile offenders and their families from Ashtabula, Columbiana, Geauga, Mahoning, Portage and Trumbull counties, not exceed $318,740.31 for 2026 and $130,755.22 for 2027.
A work authorization with Verdantas for the second phase of the South River Road water main extension project was approved. The work is not to cost more than $185,000. Ashtabula County Commissioner Casey Kozlowski said the project, through an agreement with Lake County, will provide water to Debonne Vineyards in Madison Township.
