A man caught trespassing at a public water company in Easton last week allegedly threatened to throw cups of urine at police when he was held in custody over the weekend after officers found that he had two warrants out for his arrest.

Steven Russell Klein, 28, of Bridgeport was issued a verbal warning last Thursday when police found him on property owned by the Aquarion Water Company, according to the Easton Police Department.

When officers discovered that he had warrants out for his arrest, he was taken into custody for two counts of failure to appear, which stem from missed court appearances last August, police said. The underlying charges in the cases include reckless driving and breach of peace, according to police.

After failing to post his $17,500 bond, police said Klein woke up from a nap on Friday and allegedly became very combative, punching a security camera in his holding cell at the police department. The camera stopped recording as he then allegedly threw his food and drink on the floor and threatened to throw two cups of urine at officers, police said.

Klein was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and was expected to appear Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
