Jun. 18—A Decatur man was charged Monday with distribution of a controlled substance after Decatur police investigators obtained a felony search warrant and located narcotics and paraphernalia at his residence, according to the Decatur Police Department.

Police said during the months of May and June, investigators with the department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit opened an investigation after receiving reports of drug activity in Southwest Decatur. They identified 37-year-old Jeremy Termayne Story as the primary suspect.

After the investigators and members of the SWAT team searched Story’s residence, police said they seized synthetic cannabinoids, prescription medication and drug paraphernalia consistent with the illegal distribution of narcotics.

According to an affidavit, Story sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant working for the Vice/Narcotics Unit this month.

Story was charged with distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into Morgan County Jail and held in lieu of a $17,300 bond.
