Sep. 12—The Decatur Police Department responded to 544 calls for service between Sept. 1 and Sept. 7, according to weekly crime statistics released by the department.
Officers made 32 arrests and conducted 344 vehicle stops during the week. Those traffic stops resulted in 131 citations.
The department also investigated 59 wrecks and filed 101 incident/offense reports. In addition, officers delivered 51 “Good Morning Cards,” part of a community outreach initiative.
Police reported no cases of breaking and entering during the week.
