The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in southeast Phoenix were closed following a crash, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The incident was reported about 3:30 p.m. near 24th Street, ADOT said on X. Traffic camera footage showed tire marks in the HOV lanes leading into the center lanes, where a car had come to a stop positioned sideways across the freeway.
There was no estimated time for the freeway to reopen, according to ADOT.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed state troopers were investigating the crash near milepost marker 150.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
ADOT recommended that East Valley drivers heading to Sky Harbor Airport use Loop 101 to I-10 to State Route 143, while West Valley drivers take Loop 202 South Mountain to westbound I-10 to SR 143.
