Fayetteville police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night in the area of Strickland Bridge and Raeford roads, according to a news release.
Reginald Bullard, 53, was shot around 9 p.m. in the 6400 block of Starbrook Drive, police said. Bullard was found suffering from a single gunshot wound, according to police.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the release states.

Police said they are actively investigating the killing and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
