Looks like Wilmington Airport is making some fee changes – and it has nothing to do with airplanes.
The airport has announced it will be raising the daily parking rate, effective later this fall. That change will apply to the A, B and C main lots by the terminal, which will see costs hike from $9.50 per day to $11.50. That’s more than a 20% increase, though just $2 different. The rate for Overflow Lot D will stay unchanged at $8 per day.
The new rates intend to both continue investment in the airport, as well as keep Wilmington competitive with other regional options, the airport said on its website.
As of now, economy parking at Philadelphia Airport is set at $15 per day, while long-term lot parking at the BWI Marshall Airport in Baltimore costs $11 per day.

Wilmington’s new rate will take effect on Nov. 1.
The Delaware River & Bay Authority, which operates the airport, noted they have worked to expand parking lots and revamp terminals. The authority also announced they are working on a “passenger gate expansion project,” slated to open later this year.
