Four students at Hillsdale College recognized with scholarships

Four students at Hillsdale College have been awarded the President’s Club Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year.

Katherine Edison, Phaedra Kelley, Augustine Matheson and Catherine Worachek received the scholarship, awarded to seniors who are active on campus and dedicated to their studies, according to a community announcement.

“These students have contributed significantly to our campus community both inside and outside the classroom,” wrote Director of President’s Club Programs Maree Socha. “We are pleased to honor them with this scholarship in recognition of their commitment and diligence.”

Edison, of Grand Rapids, is majoring in art and minoring in biology. She’s the co-founder and president of the Hillsdale College Intercollegiate Running Club, a member of the Alpha Rho Tau Art Honorary and the Rehab Sciences Club. She also serves as a resident assistant, works at Penny’s Coffee Shop and volunteers with the Hillsdale Buddy Program.

Kelley, of Dripping Springs, Texas, is majoring in German and art. She’s a member of the Delta Phi Alpha German Honorary, the Alpha Rho Tau Art Honorary and the Archery Club. She also volunteers with A Few Good Men.

Matheson, of Vermillion, Ohio, is majoring in economics and minoring in finance. He’s a founding member of the Club Gulf Team, a member of Alpha Tau Omega and the Catholic Society. He also plays intramural sports, volunteers at Crossroads Farm and leads a crew for A Few Good Men.

Worachek, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, is majoring in rhetoric and media and minoring in classical education. She’s vice president of Chi Omega, the student team lead for External Affairs and a member of the Catholic Society.
