A fugitive wanted in connection with a domestic violence incident in New Haven involving a knife was apprehended in Bristol on Thursday, police said.
Andre Epps, 55, was taken into custody shortly after 4:30 p.m. in connection with a warrant charging him with second-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor and second-degree breach of peace, according to Lt. Vllaznim Sadriu of the Bristol Police Department.
He was apprehended by officers with the department’s Crime Suppression Unit and Patrol Division.

Sadriu said Epps was a fugitive wanted by the New Haven Police Department in connection with a domestic violence assault that occurred in 2023.
“The Bristol Police Department commends the teamwork and professionalism of both the CSU and Patrol Division in bringing this case to a safe resolution,” Sadriu said in a statement. “Their collaborative efforts demonstrate our department’s continued commitment to ensuring the safety of the Bristol community.”
