Gov. Pritzker signed an executive order intended to protect access to vaccines.
The order establishes the Statewide Vaccine Access Initiative, led by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The order calls for the IDPH to publish vaccine guidance and provide vaccine support to schools and local health departments.
The move is a direct response to recent vaccine policy changes from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
