Jul. 6—BEMIDJI — In the final event of the 81st Annual Bemidji Jaycees’ Water Carnival festivities, hundreds of parade-goers lined the streets of downtown Bemidji on Sunday afternoon for the Grand Parade.

The route, slightly altered due to storm damage, started at the intersection of Eighth Street and Beltrami Avenue and traveled south on Beltrami Avenue. It then turned west on Fourth Street for one block, and finally headed north along Minnesota Avenue to end back on Eighth Street.

Merriam’s Midway remains open until 7 p.m. According to the Jaycees, 10% of Sunday’s gross sales from the midway will be donated to the

United Way Disaster Relief Fund.

The fund helps support local families and nonprofits in urgent need following the June 21 storm.
