It’s summer and many families look to get fried chicken for their family gatherings. The Daily Leader asked who had the best fried chicken and readers voted for Dave’s Supermarket in Fairbury.
Dave’s deli department is often busy with its daily specials, as well as preparing fried chicken for family gatherings. The reason is quality and this did not go unnoticed by readers.
Dave’s Supermarket garnered nearly 40% of the vote. County Market in Pontiac got 25%. Pontiac Family Kitchen came in third with 22%. Placing fourth was Old Route 66 Family Restaurant in Dwight with 6%. There were 116 votes cast.
Also nominated were Church’s Texas Chicken, Chenoa Family Restaurant and Baby Bull’s.
