Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy this year, historians shared its past with community members.
It all took place on the iconic Battleship New Jersey this morning.
“I am hoping that they learn things that they didn’t know before…to get a sense of how important the Navy has been. So intertwined with so many aspects of American history to the American economy, American industry, American science and technology, American society,” said Professor of History at Rutgers University-Camden, Dr. Kate Epstein.
