A 28-year-old man was in critical condition on Sunday, June 8, following an early morning hit-and-run crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Briarfield Drive in Lansing.

Lansing police said a 24-year-old woman turned herself in on Sunday and was arrested. Specific charges will be determined after the case is reviewed by the Prosecutor’s Office, LPD Sgt. Trevor Allman said.

Police were dispatched to the area about 3:44 a.m. June 8 where they found the man in the road.

The vehicle that struck him had already left the scene, Allman said.

The incident was the second hit-and-run crash in a day in the Lansing area. A crash on Waverly Road near Tecumseh River Drive claimed the life of a male victim Saturday night, the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office said.
