Bedford Police are investigating the death of a 62-year-old homeless man who appears to have been run over while sleeping under a tractor-trailer truck at the Hannaford Supermarket of South River Road.
Police responded just after 5:40 a.m. to the store at 7 Kilton Road for a report “of an individual who appeared to have been run over by a tractor-trailer,” according to a news release.
The 62-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver was identified and is cooperating with police, according to the news release.
The incident remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Department and New Hampshire State Police.
