Could you get part of an $8.9 million settlement that prebiotic drink Poppi will start paying customers soon? If you tried the sparkling soda between when it launched and earlier this year, you might be eligible for the class action lawsuit.
The deadline to file a claim is just days away.
Poppi‘s former owner, VNGR Beverage, LLC agreed to settle claims that the beverages were improperly marketed and labeled their products as “gut healthy,” and consumers made purchases based on that claim, although it was not backed by scientific evidence.

Here is what you need to know about who is eligible, when you have to file if you want a cut of the settlement.
Who is eligible for the settlement?
According to the claims website, customers who bought any flavor or package size of Poppi drinks between January 23, 2020, and July 18, 2025, are eligible for a portion of the class action settlement payment following the agreement reached.
How much could I get in the Poppi settlement?
According to the website, eligible consumers can get cash back based on the amount of Poppi products they bought.
People with proof of purchase can get the following amounts:
Up to $0.75 per single can
Without proof of purchase, a $16 reimbursement cap applies.
Those amounts can be reduced or might increase, depending on how many people file claims and how much of the settlement fund gets dedicated to things like administrative or notice costs.

When is the deadline to file a claim?
According to the site, claims must be submitted online or by mail by September 26, 2025.
That’s also the deadline to opt out, if you choose to do so.
When could I get money in the Poppi settlement?
A court hearing is set for November 20, 2025, according to the settlement site. That date could change.
The court will determine if the settlement amounts are fair and reasonable.
Once the court OKs the settlement and if there are no appeals, checks could be in the mail within 90 days of the final court date.
If the court doesn’t approve the settlement or it gets overturned on appeal, no payments will be sent.
