Is there more rain in the weekend forecast for Des Moines?

There is a 40% chance of rain and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Friday, May 2. New rainfall could amount to less than a tenth of an inch, with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday night has a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms in the Des Moines area before 7 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mostly sunny with little to no rain.
