A series of storms that passed through Minnesota on Monday gave some parts of the state an absolute hammering, with torrential rain causing problems for anybody unfortunate enough to be caught outside.
In the Twin Cities, the deluge caused flooding and pooling on streets and sidewalks, as in excess of 1.2 inches of rain fell in a period of just 15-20 minutes.
It comes after an incredibly wet seven days in Minnesota that has seen cumulative rain totals almost reach double figures.
Based on reports to the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRAHS), here’s a look at how much rain fell in Minnesota on Monday and over the past week.
