‘Incident’ at Fort Lee High School under investigation by Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office

Law enforcement agencies are at Fort Lee High School following reports of an “incident” Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Jeff Angermeyer, deputy chief of detectives for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, told NorthJersey.com that a joint investigation between Fort Lee Police and the office’s major crimes unit is underway into an “incident” at the school. First responders from Fort Lee and surrounding jurisdictions, along with the county sheriff’s office, were at the scene as of 11:40 a.m. Angermeyer’s statement did not provide more details on the incident.

“Please avoid the area while the preliminary investigation is underway,” Angermeyer said. “More details will be released when possible.”
