Increased showers, advisories and high surf expected for Central Florida

There is a 50% chance of showers after late morning.

Skies will be mostly sunny with a high of 87 degrees, according to the NWS in Melbourne.

There is a wind advisory for Volusia, Brevard, and other Florida counties from Monday at 8 a.m. to Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Sustained winds are expected to be 20-30 mph, with peak gusts at 30-40 mph.

All Atlantic beaches are under a high surf advisory, according to NWS Melbourne.

Breaking waves are expected to be 6 to 10 feet at local beaches, as well as moderate beach and dune erosion, thanks to Tropical Storm Imelda.
