Jun. 15—- The Kandiyohi County Board will hold its regular meeting later than its usual time, starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17. At the meeting, the board will discuss and take action on a series of bids for projects throughout Kandiyohi County.
Included in the bids to be awarded are bids for LED stop signs and rumble strips, Diamond Lake access reconstruction and more. These bids will be presented by Public Works Director Mel Odens.
The board will also hear from Zoning Administrator Eric Van Dyken regarding a Planning Commission recommendation for Michels Road and Stone. The recommendation is for a temporary concrete batch plant for a road project on Minnesota Highway 23 that will take place this fall and next summer.
A portion of the meeting will be closed for continued discussion on a property outside of New London. This is the third County Board meeting in a row which will have a closed portion to discuss a property located at 14998 Highway 71 N.E.
With regard to a property purchase, the Open Meeting Law allows a closed session only for the purpose of developing or considering offers or counteroffers. Any board action must be completed in open session.
After the regular meeting, a Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting will be conducted, also in the board room. This meeting will go over assessor recommendations and clerical corrections. These recommendations and corrections require board approval to make changes.
